PROMOTION OF TEXTILE EXPORTS

The Ministry of Textiles reported that India’s textile and apparel exports (including handicrafts) rose from ₹2,97,004 crore in 2023‑24 to ₹3,25,339 crore in 2025‑26, a CAGR of 4.7%. Ready‑made garments contributed the largest share, increasing from ₹1,20,305 crore to ₹1,39,350 crore. Exports grew in over 100 countries, with the United States, UAE and the United Kingdom among top markets. The government highlighted several schemes—PM MITRA Parks, PLI, National Technical Textiles Mission, SAMARTH, Silk Samagra‑2, RoSCTL, RoDTEP, and the Export Promotion Mission (including RELIEF)—as drivers of competitiveness and market diversification, supported by 16 FTAs.
