Union Minister Shri Jyotiraditya M. Scindia Chairs Parliamentary Consultative Committee Meeting on MDoNER's Flagship USP Initiative

Union Minister Jyotiraditya M. Scindia chaired a Parliamentary Consultative Committee meeting of the Ministry of Development of North‑Eastern Region (MDoNER) to review its flagship Unique Selling Proposition (USP) initiative. The Minister emphasized that the USP is state‑driven, with each North‑East state identifying one flagship product—currently seven missions such as the Kiwi Mission (Arunachal Pradesh) and Muga Silk Mission (Assam). MDoNER acts as an aggregator, coordinating central ministries, state governments, FPOs, industry and financial institutions to build market‑linked value chains, focusing on production, quality, processing, branding, logistics and export readiness. MPs suggested additional technical manpower, faster approvals and stronger inter‑ministerial coordination. The meeting reaffirmed the goal of creating globally competitive value chains aligned with the Prime Minister’s vision of an Aatmanirbir and globally competitive North East.
