Shri Keshav Chandra, IAS, Assumes Charge as Secretary, Ministry of Mines

Shri Keshav Chandra, IAS (1995: AGMUT), assumed charge as Secretary, Ministry of Mines on 27 July 2026. After taking office, he chaired a meeting with senior ministry officials to review key initiatives, including mineral exploration, auction and operationalisation of mineral blocks, and critical and strategic minerals. He stressed the need for coordinated efforts and effective implementation to strengthen India’s mineral sector.
