Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi lauds the commendable work of the Participants of the Viksit Vibrant Village Programme 2026

Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually interacted with over 5,000 MYBharat volunteers who visited border villages in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Ladakh under the Viksit Vibrant Village Programme 2026. Participants reported improved roads, electricity, drinking‑water and digital connectivity attributed to the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, Jal Jeevan Mission and Ayushman Bharat, as well as QR‑code and UPI facilities. The programme highlighted women‑led development, tourism, community participation and stronger national integration, with volunteers documenting their experiences and encouraging the purchase of local products. The Prime Minister emphasized that youth from previously neglected border areas are now prioritized and that such initiatives foster the spirit of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’.
