Kargil Vijay Diwas Commemorated with Solemn Ceremony at Colaba Military Station, Mumbai

On 27 July 2026, the 27th anniversary of India’s victory in the 1999 Kargil War was observed at Colaba Military Station, Mumbai. Vice Admiral Sanjay Vatsayan, Lt Gen D.S. Kushwah and Air Vice Marshal Prashant Sharad Wadodkar, together with Army, Navy and Air Force officers, civil dignitaries and veterans, laid wreaths at the Shaheed Smarak to honour the soldiers who fell in the Kargil conflict. The ceremony highlighted the nation’s gratitude and the enduring ethos of selfless service, duty and devotion to the nation.
