Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Interacts with Participants of Viksit Vibrant Village Program 2026

Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with participants of the Viksit Vibrant Village Program 2026, noting participation from youth across about 250 districts. He highlighted the expansion of the ‘Mera Yuva Bharat – MY Bharat’ platform to crores of youths and the selection of over 400 youths from three lakh applicants to visit border villages in Himachal, Uttarakhand and Ladakh. The Prime Minister praised recent infrastructure upgrades in these border villages – electricity, roads, tap water, gas and internet – and linked these to increased tourism, improved education for girls and higher local earnings. He urged participants to share their experiences with at least one hundred peers to further promote border tourism and cultural integration.
