Union Minister Shri Pralhad Joshi takes charge of the Union Ministry of Education

On 26 July 2026, Union Minister Shri Pralhad Joshi officially assumed charge of the Ministry of Education at Kartavya Bhavan. He concurrently holds the portfolios of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, and New and Renewable Energy. The Minister chaired a review meeting with senior officials, including Union Minister of State for Education Shri Jayant Chaudhary, Secretary, Department of Higher Education Dr Vineet Joshi, Secretary, Department of School Education and Literacy Shri T. K. Anil Kumar, and other senior officers, to assess the implementation of various schemes and initiatives.
