Government Strengthens Digital Justice and Legal Aid Infrastructure Across Odisha Under eCourts and Tele-Law Initiatives

The Ministry of Law and Justice reported that Odisha has expanded its digital justice infrastructure under the e‑Courts Mission Mode Project, Tele‑Law Programme, NALSA and Gram Nyayalaya Scheme. Sixteen ADR centres have been built in 16 districts, while mediation centres operate in the remaining 14 districts. The state has one virtual court for traffic challan adjudication and 817 e‑court rooms (including 28 newly created) across 30 districts. Tele‑Law services via 6,797 Common Service Centres have delivered over 1.13 crore pre‑litigation legal advice, and 332 legal aid clinics are functional. Additionally, 24 Gram Nyayalayas are operational in 24 locations.
