Union Environment Minister reviews Haryana's Air Pollution Action Plan with Chief Minister (Haryana)

Union Environment Minister Shri Bhupender Yadav met Haryana Chief Minister Shri Nayab Singh Saini and senior state officials on 24 July 2026 to review Haryana’s Air Pollution Action Plan for the Delhi‑NCR region. The Minister urged accelerated implementation, stricter inter‑agency coordination and enforcement ahead of winter. Specific actions discussed included priority road‑dust control through paving and greening, bridging gaps in Mechanical Road Sweeping Machines (MRSMs) by September and geo‑tagging them, expediting electric bus deployment and EV‑charging stations, fast‑tracking No‑Objection Certificates for end‑of‑life vehicles, installing ANPR cameras at fuel stations, installing online continuous emission monitoring systems (OCEMS) and air‑pollution control devices (APCDs) in industries, establishing secondary collection centres for construction‑and‑demolition waste, achieving 100 % municipal solid waste collection, and enhancing stubble‑burn mitigation via crop‑residue management machinery and IEC campaigns. The meeting emphasized a ‘Whole of Government’ and ‘Whole of Society’ approach.
