Update on ABDM

As of 20 July 2026, the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) has created 94.87 crore ABHA IDs, registered 5.36 lakh health facilities in the Health Facility Registry and 10.09 lakh healthcare professionals in the Healthcare Professionals Registry. A third‑party evaluation (June‑August 2025) reported reduced waiting times, cost savings and better access, especially for women and underserved groups. ABDM’s Unified Health Interface (UHI) acts as a digital gateway, while ‘Privacy by Design’ ensures consent‑based data exchange, sandbox validation and security audits. The mission’s interoperable standards have been integrated with programmes such as PM‑JAY, Nikshay, RCH, NCD, TECHO, eKavach, PCTS and CMCHIS.
