India and Israel Conclude Second Round of Negotiations for Proposed Free Trade Agreement

India and Israel completed the second round of talks on a proposed Free Trade Agreement (FTA) from 20‑23 July 2026 at Vanijya Bhawan, New Delhi. The four‑day session covered trade in goods and services, rules of origin, sanitary‑phytosanitary measures, technical barriers, intellectual‑property rights, customs procedures, trade facilitation and economic cooperation. The negotiations proceeded under the Terms of Reference signed in November 2025, aiming for a balanced, comprehensive and mutually beneficial pact. Bilateral merchandise trade stood at USD 3.93 billion in FY 2025‑26, reflecting strong complementarities and potential for deeper trade, investment and economic integration.
