PROGRESS IN GENERATING UNIQUE DIGITAL FARMER IDS

As of 20 July 2026, over 10.18 crore unique Digital Farmer IDs have been generated, facilitating direct benefit transfers under schemes such as PM‑Kisan, PMFBY, MSP procurement, credit, input distribution and disaster relief. Satellite‑based initiatives—YES‑TECH, smart sampling for CCEs, dispute resolution, and rapid crop‑damage assessment—are being used to improve PMFBY operations. Under the Sub‑Mission on Agriculture Mechanisation, 2,122 drones have been approved, with 1,094 drones supplied to women‑SHGs under the Namo Drone Didi Scheme and 1,555 drone pilots trained by FMTTIs. These measures aim to streamline subsidy delivery, enhance insurance accuracy, and promote precision agriculture.
