Source-grounded summary

India’s textile and apparel exports reached ₹3,25,339 crore in 2025‑26, a 1.8 % rise over the previous year, with growth recorded in over 100 countries. The government has pursued multiple schemes – PM Mega Integrated Textile Regions and Apparel Parks, Production Linked Incentive for Textiles, National Technical Textiles Mission, SAMARTH, and components of the Export Promotion Mission – to boost competitiveness. Recent measures include extending the Remission of Duties and Taxes on Exported Products scheme, temporary customs duty exemptions on cotton and key man‑made fibre inputs, GST rationalisation, and the RELIEF initiative for exporters affected by West‑Asia logistics disruptions. The RoSCTL scheme was extended to 30 Sept 2026. A focused export‑promotion strategy targets 40 priority countries, with 16 FTAs (including CETA) in force and negotiations concluded with the EU and New Zealand. Six Textile Export Facilitation Centres were set up, and events such as the Textiles Summit and Bharat Tex 2026 were held to showcase the sector.
