OPERATION SOUTHERN READINESS 26-2 CONCLUDES AT SOUTHERN NAVAL COMMAND, KOCHI
Operation Southern Readiness 26‑2, a four‑day multinational maritime security training exercise, concluded at the Southern Naval Command, Kochi on 23 July 2026. Organized by the Indian Navy in partnership with the Combined Maritime Forces (CMF) and the Indian Navy‑led Combined Task Force 154, the event involved 276 personnel from 27 countries, 76 facilitators and experts, and participants from four international organisations. The programme covered maritime domain awareness, maritime law, counter‑narcotics, force‑protection, asymmetric threats, uncrewed systems and operational sea training, with practical sessions on damage control, firefighting, communications, survival at sea and boarding. It generated 3,800 training man‑hours and aimed to enhance interoperability, professional networks and regional capacity‑building in maritime security.
