NICDC Organises Cross-Learning Site Visit to AURIC Smart City to Strengthen Industrial Corridor Development

The National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation (NICDC), together with Maharashtra Industrial Township Limited (MITL), conducted a two‑day cross‑learning visit to the Shendra‑Bidkin Industrial Area (AURIC Smart City) in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra, starting on 23 July 2026. Senior officials from state governments, SPVs, programme managers, EPC contractors and other stakeholders examined AURIC’s integrated planning, digital governance, utility infrastructure and multimodal connectivity. The visit highlighted AURIC as a model under the National Industrial Corridor Development Programme (NICDP) and discussed the Bharat Audyogik Vikas Yojana (BHAVYA) scheme for plug‑and‑play industrial parks, urging states to apply before 31 July 2026. The programme aims to strengthen institutional capacities, share best practices, and accelerate infrastructure development across industrial corridors.
