Union Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya addressed the Commonwealth Sports Ministers Meeting in Glasgow, reiterating India’s commitment to safe, inclusive sport systems and its readiness to host the 2030 Centenary Commonwealth Games in Ahmedabad. He highlighted India’s vision for stronger Commonwealth collaboration, governance reforms such as the National Sports Governance Act, an enhanced anti‑doping framework, and flagship schemes like Khelo India, Fit India and the ASMITA League that aim to nurture grassroots talent and increase women’s participation. The Minister also proposed a Commonwealth Sport Coordination Forum and Centres of Excellence, and expressed willingness to host related meetings and workshops ahead of the 2030 Games.
