Branch of the Bharatiya Beej Sahakari Samiti Limited in Bihar

The Bharatiya Beej Sahakari Samiti Limited (BBSSL) does not have a formal branch office in Bihar, but operates through a field official who coordinates seed distribution, business development and monitoring. BBSSL conducts its seed business in the state via Bihar Rajya Beej Nigam Limited, the designated nodal agency, and collaborates with local cooperative institutions and other stakeholders. In the financial year 2026‑27, BBSSL directly supplied seeds to 20 cooperative societies in Bihar, expanding its cooperative‑based distribution network. The agency follows a farmer‑centric pricing model, paying producers the highest of (i) MSP plus at least 10 % incentive, (ii) prevailing mandi price, or (iii) the State Seed Corporation’s procurement rate.
