AIIMS Nagpur Signs MoU for 800-Bed Vishram Gruh for Patients' Families

AIIMS Nagpur has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sevadaan Aarogya Foundation to set up an 800‑bed Vishram Gruh on its campus, providing affordable accommodation, meals and amenities for patients’ families. The institute has also been designated by the Government of India as a Centre for Secondary Medical Management of Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosives (CBRNE) emergencies, highlighting its disaster‑response role. Additionally, AIIMS Nagpur signed an MoU with the National Centre for Disease Control to establish a Biosafety Level‑III (BSL‑III) laboratory, enhancing capacity for high‑risk infectious disease diagnostics and research.
