The 33rd edition of *Energy Statistics India 2026* released by the Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation reports that India’s Total Primary Energy Supply (TPES) for 2024‑25 was 39,055 Petajoules, up from 37,936 Petajoules in 2023‑24. Renewable energy potential as of 31 Mar 2025 stood at 4,704,043 MW, compared with 2,109,655 MW on 31 Mar 2024. The edition adds new data on credit flow to the energy sector, international energy scenarios, marine and aviation bunker fuels, aligns end‑use sectors with international standards, and addresses industry‑wise coal and electricity consumption gaps. The publication is circulated to all line‑energy ministries, states/UTs and is publicly available for research and policy analysis.
