Government Strengthens Educational Opportunities for OBC, EBC and DNT Students through PM-YASASVI

The Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment announced that the PM‑YASASVI umbrella scheme will broaden scholarship support for students from Other Backward Classes (OBC), Economically Backward Classes (EBC) and Denotified, Nomadic and Semi‑Nomadic Tribes (DNT). According to a written reply by Minister of State Shri B. L. Verma to MP Shri Kamakhya Prasad Tasa, the scheme comprises four components – Pre‑Matric, Post‑Matric, Top Class Education in Schools and Top Class Education in Colleges – aimed at reducing financial barriers and ensuring inclusive, equitable, quality education from school to higher studies. The initiative is presented as a step toward greater access for socially and educationally disadvantaged groups.
