Meeting of Government with Leaders of Political Parties held today

On 19 July 2026, a meeting chaired by Union Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh was held at the Parliament House Complex with 58 leaders from 40 political parties, including several Union Ministers. The meeting, convened by Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Shri Kiren Rijiju, briefed parties on the upcoming Monsoon Session of Parliament, scheduled to start on 20 July 2026 and possibly conclude on 13 August 2026, comprising 19 sittings over 25 days. Legislative business for the session had been released in Bulletin Part‑II on 16 July 2026. Leaders were invited to cooperate for smooth parliamentary functioning and to raise issues during the session.
