All 4 students from Team India won Gold Medals at the 58th International Chemistry Olympiad, Tashkent, Uzbekistan

India’s team of four students secured gold medals in all four entries at the 58th International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO) 2026 held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan from 10‑19 July 2026. The medalists were Debadatta Priyadarshi (Odisha), Harshit Singla (Punjab), Kabeer Chillar (Delhi) and Sandeep Kuchi (Telangana). India jointly topped the country‑wise medal tally with China, Vietnam and the Individual Participants Group B (Russia). The event featured 363 participants from 93 countries, the largest IChO to date. The achievement reflects the effectiveness of the HBCSE mentorship and the support of the Department of Atomic Energy, DST and MoE in nurturing scientific talent.
