Shri Vivek Nishant Nath takes charge as Director (Commercial), NMDC

Shri Vivek Nishant Nath has assumed charge as Director (Commercial) of NMDC Limited, the country’s largest iron‑ore producer. He joined NMDC in 1992 and spent nearly fifteen years in various commercial roles before moving to Essar Steel, ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India and Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC). At OMC he rose to Chief General Manager (Sales & Marketing), overseeing sales of iron‑ore, chrome ore, manganese ore, bauxite, limestone and ferro‑chrome, and grew iron‑ore sales from 12.33 Mt in FY21 to 38.26 Mt in FY26. He holds an MBA in International Business (Symbiosis) and a Management Development Programme from IIM Indore. His appointment is expected to strengthen NMDC’s commercial operations and support its goal of becoming a 100 Mt iron‑ore mining company.
