Railway Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw Flags Off Ramnagar-Dehradun Express
Union Railway Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw virtually flagged off the Ramnagar‑Dehradun Express, the first direct express train linking Ramnagar and Dehradun and operating on Wednesdays and Fridays. The service (train 15310/15309) will halt at Kashipur, Roshanpur, Pipalsana, Moradabad, Najibabad and Haridwar, and will run with AC Second Class, AC Third Class, AC Chair Car, Sleeper, Second Sitting and General coaches. The Ministry says the train will strengthen rail connectivity between the Kumaon and Garwāl regions, aid students, farmers and traders, and boost tourism to Jim Corbett National Park, Girija Devi Temple and the Char Dham pilgrimage circuit. The launch is part of a wider programme that includes redevelopment of 11 stations in Uttarakhand and a master plan for Rishikesh as a feeder station.
