Department of Land Resources Explores Convergence of Digital Public Infrastructure for Land and Credit with RBI Innovation Hub

The Department of Land Resources (DoLR) held a high‑level meeting with the RBI Innovation Hub to explore linking the Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) for land governance with the Unified Lending Interface (ULI). The discussion, chaired by Secretary Shri Narendra Bhooshan, focused on using authenticated, interoperable digital land records to enable secure, consent‑based credit delivery for farmers and rural citizens. Key collaboration areas include standardised access to digital land records, faster delivery of Kisan Credit Cards and agricultural loans, reduced transaction costs, enhanced risk management through mortgage data, and broader financial inclusion by treating land as a trusted digital asset. The DoLR reaffirmed its commitment to building a secure, citizen‑centric DPI that strengthens land governance and expands formal credit access in rural India.
