Union Ministry of Health concludes two-day National Review Meeting on Disease Surveillance and Public Health Programmes

The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare held a two‑day National Review Meeting on Disease Surveillance and Public Health Programmes in New Delhi on 16‑17 July 2026, with senior health officials from all 36 States and Union Territories. The meeting reviewed key programmes—including the National One Health Programme, Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme, pandemic preparedness, and Antimicrobial Resistance—focusing on data‑driven governance via a structured Key Performance Indicator (KPI) framework. All States and UTs unanimously adopted the KPI framework and pledged monthly performance reviews to monitor targets, address implementation gaps, and strengthen disease surveillance and public‑health delivery nationwide.
