Fourth Edition of IICA’s National Conference on Responsible Business Conduct (NCRBC) 2026 held in New Delhi

The fourth edition of the National Conference on Responsible Business Conduct (NCRBC) 2026 was inaugurated in New Delhi, organized by IICA’s School of Business Environment. The two‑day conference, themed “ESG‑led Transformation for Viksit Bharat”, highlighted the shift from voluntary CSR guidelines (2009) to the mandatory Business Responsibility and Sustainability Reporting (BRSR) framework (2021) and the inclusion of stakeholder primacy in Section 166(2) of the Companies Act, 2013. Speakers stressed the need for robust, finance‑grade sustainability disclosures, board‑level integration of ESG, stronger legal and regulatory frameworks, and the role of technology in enhancing data quality. The event linked ESG to India’s goal of a USD 30 trillion economy by 2047 and to the Union Budget 2026‑27’s focus on green growth and the G20 vision of “One Earth, One Family, One Future”.
