Ministry of Power Circulates the Draft Corporate Average Fuel Economy 2027 Norms (CAFE – III) for Stakeholder Consultation

The Ministry of Power has released the Draft Corporate Average Fuel Economy 2027 Norms (CAFE‑III) for stakeholder consultation. The draft norms target M1‑category passenger vehicles that will be manufactured or imported for sale in India during the fiscal years 2027‑28 to 2031‑32. Stakeholders and the public are invited to submit suggestions or feedback to the Under Secretary, Energy Conservation, at the address provided or via e‑mail (saket‑upsc@gov.in) by 6 August 2026. The draft will also be uploaded on the Ministry of Power and Bureau of Energy Efficiency websites shortly.
