Orientation Programme 'Uttarayan 2026' for Newly Promoted Assistant Commissioners of Income Tax Inaugurated at NADT, Nagpur

The National Academy of Direct Taxes (NADT), Nagpur, inaugurated the seven‑week Orientation Programme ‘Uttarayan 2026’ for 106 newly promoted Assistant Commissioners of Income Tax. The batch, with an average service tenure of 27 years and average age of 52, includes 22 women officers and represents 20 states and 2 union territories. Officers hold diverse academic qualifications – 75 graduates and 36 post‑graduates/MBA/LLB holders. Over the programme, NADT will deliver advanced modules on direct‑tax laws, corporate accounting, modern investigation techniques, public administration and e‑governance to prepare them for higher leadership roles in the Income Tax Department.
