INDIAN NAVY TO HOST OPERATION SOUTHERN READINESS 26-2 AT SOUTHERN NAVAL COMMAND, KOCHI
The Indian Navy will host Operation Southern Readiness 26‑2 at the Southern Naval Command in Kochi from 20‑23 July 2026. The four‑day multinational training, conducted under the Combined Maritime Forces (CMF) and the Indian‑led Combined Task Force 154, will involve personnel from CMF partner nations. The programme includes classroom, simulator‑based and practical sessions covering maritime law, domain awareness, counter‑narcotics, force protection, asymmetric threats, uncrewed systems, damage control, firefighting, communications, survival at sea, boarding procedures and onboard training. The event aims to showcase India’s training infrastructure, enhance interoperability and reinforce the Southern Naval Command’s role as a regional training hub.
