Department of Posts Urges Customers to Choose Cashless Payment Modes

The Department of Posts, Goa Division, has launched an initiative urging customers to use cash‑less payment modes—UPI, QR codes, and debit/credit cards (POS)—for services such as Speed Post, Registered Post and parcel booking. The move aligns with the Digital India agenda, aiming to provide faster, safer and more convenient postal services. Postmasters and counter officials across Goa have been instructed to assist customers in adopting these digital options, which the department says reduce waiting time, give instant transaction confirmation, eliminate the need to carry cash and ensure secure, transparent transactions.
