Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, Shri Piyush Goyal Leads High-Level Delegation to Finland to Strengthen Trade and Investment Ties

Union Minister Shri Piyush Goyal led a high‑level Indian delegation to Finland on 16 July 2026, signing two institutional MoUs – one between CII and Business Finland and another between CII and the Confederation of Finnish Industries (EK). The visit built on the Strategic Partnership in Digitalisation and Sustainability announced during President Alexander Stubb’s state visit in March 2026 and followed the India‑EU Free Trade Agreement concluded on 27 January 2026. Discussions with Finland’s Minister of Economic Affairs focused on financial markets, innovation, enterprise financing and expanding bilateral trade, with both sides aiming to double trade by 2030. Sector‑specific interactions covered digital technologies, space, clean energy, bio‑economy, circular economy, infrastructure and advanced manufacturing.
