Ministry of Rural Development Showcases Women-Led Rural Enterprises at Bharat Tex 2026

The Ministry of Rural Development, via the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana‑National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY‑NRLM), participated in Bharat Tex 2026 (14‑17 July 2026, New Delhi) to showcase products and enterprises led by rural women of Self‑Help Groups (SHGs). The exhibit featured Lakhpati Didis from various states displaying hand‑weaving, garment‑making, Dhokra metalwork, Kolhapuri leather, jute, bamboo, woodcraft, beadwork, silk‑thread jewellery and water‑hyacinth crafts. It also introduced the Saras Shakti Collection, a premium gifting initiative that curates SHG‑made handcrafted items for government and institutional markets. DAY‑NRLM reports mobilising over 10 crore rural women into SHGs, with 3 crore Lakhpati Didis and a target of 6 crore.
