India and Poland Explore New Avenues for Cooperation in the MSME Sector

During a bilateral meeting at Kartavya Bhawan, New Delhi, India and Poland discussed expanding cooperation in the MSME sector. India’s MSME ecosystem comprises over 86 million registered enterprises, accounting for nearly 30 % of GDP, more than one‑third of manufacturing output, about half of exports and supporting roughly 330 million livelihoods. Secretary Bharat Khera briefed the Polish delegation on flagship schemes such as the Udyam Registration Portal, Credit Guarantee Scheme, Technology Centres and Zero Defect Zero Effect (ZED) practices. Poland, identified as India’s largest trading and investment partner in Central and Eastern Europe, seeks deeper institutional ties, building on the 2024 NSIC‑PARP engagement and the recently concluded India‑EU Free Trade Agreement.
