Committed to ensuring that no worker is left behind: Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya at 12th BRICS Labour & Employment Ministers’ Meeting in Hyderabad

The 12th BRICS Labour & Employment Ministers’ Meeting was held in Hyderabad under India’s 2026 BRICS Chairship. Union Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya highlighted India’s consolidation of 29 labour laws into four Labour Codes (Nov 2025) and the e‑Shram portal that now registers over 317 million unorganised workers. The meeting adopted the BRICS Labour and Employment Ministers’ Declaration, committing members to expand social protection, enhance women’s participation, improve employability and leverage digital technologies for all workers. It also launched ‘BRICS CONNECT’, an India‑proposed platform for technical cooperation, knowledge exchange and capacity‑building among BRICS nations.
