The Ministry of Heavy Industries invites bids through Global Tender for the selection of beneficiaries to set up giga-scale Advanced Chemistry Cell (ACC) manufacturing facilities of 10 GWh cumulative capacities, under PLI ACC Scheme

The Ministry of Heavy Industries has issued a Request for Proposal inviting global bidders to set up giga‑scale Advanced Chemistry Cell (ACC) manufacturing facilities totaling 10 GWh of capacity for grid‑scale stationary storage. The tender will be conducted online via a two‑stage Quality and Cost Based Selection (QCBS) mechanism on the Central Public Procurement (CPP) portal. Tender documents are available from 15 July 2026; a pre‑bid conference is scheduled for 29 July 2026, with bid submission closing on 13 October 2026 and technical bids opened on 14 October 2026. The ACC capacity forms part of the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) ACC Scheme approved in May 2021, which allocates ₹18,100 crore to achieve 50 GWh of ACC capacity, of which 40 GWh has already been awarded to domestic manufacturers.
