Digital India BHASHINI Division (DIBD) and Punjab National Bank (PNB) Sign MoU to Advance Multilingual AI for Inclusive Banking

The Digital India BHASHINI Division (DIBD) and Punjab National Bank (PNB) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to integrate BHASHINI’s indigenous multilingual AI ecosystem into PNB’s digital banking platforms. Under the MoU, BHASHINI’s language translation APIs, domain‑specific models, and other AI‑powered tools will be deployed across PNB’s digital channels, enabling customers to access banking information and services in their preferred Indian languages. The partnership aims to reduce language barriers, improve customer experience, and advance the Government of India’s vision of an inclusive Digital Public Infrastructure, thereby promoting financial inclusion and encouraging broader adoption of multilingual AI in the banking sector.
