PM to visit Haryana, Chandigarh and Punjab on 17th July

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Haryana, Chandigarh and Punjab on 17 July 2026 to flag off India’s first hydrogen‑powered train between Jind and Sonipat and to lay foundation stones for development projects worth over ₹25,000 crore. The projects include highways such as the Delhi‑Amritsar‑Katra Expressway (≈₹9,680 crore), the Jind‑Gohana Greenfield Highway, and the Ambala‑Kala Amb Highway, as well as medical institutions like the Advanced Mother and Child Centre and Advanced Neurosciences Centre at PGIMER, Chandigarh. Additional initiatives comprise the Sikh Museum at Kurukshetra, 75 Amrit Bharat railway stations, and several rail‑road links in Punjab. All projects are presented as steps toward improved connectivity, clean transport and enhanced healthcare infrastructure.
