KVIC Chairman Shri Manoj Goel inaugurates and visits the ‘Khadi India Pavilion’ at Bharat Tex 2026, India’s largest global textiles event

On 15 July 2026, KVIC Chairman Shri Manoj Goel inaugurated the ‘Khadi India Pavilion’ at Bharat Tex 2026, India’s largest global textiles event held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The pavilion displayed a wide range of Khadi and Village Industries products, including home linen, décor, contemporary apparel and innovations based on indigenous fibres, under the theme “Khadi Reimagined: Tradition for Contemporary Living”. The Chairman highlighted Khadi’s role as a symbol of India’s heritage, self‑reliance, sustainability and rural livelihoods, citing a sector turnover of over ₹1.87 lakh crore and employment for more than 2.04 crore people in FY 2025‑26. He linked these achievements to the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat and Viksit Bharat 2047.
