BRIC-THSTI Hosts Third Industry Meet ‘SYNCHN 2026’

The Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI), under the Biotechnology Research and Innovation Council (BRIC), hosted its third annual industry meet SYNCHN 2026 at the NCR Biotech Science Cluster in Faridabad. The event convened global health leaders, biotech experts, venture capitalists, startups and policymakers to address gaps in moving laboratory discoveries to commercial patient solutions. Chief Guest Dr Kiran Mazumdar‑Shaw emphasized the need for translational ecosystems, while THSTI’s Executive Director Prof Ganesan Karthikeyan noted that the 2024 edition secured 13 Letters of Intent and the 2025 edition achieved 19 binding agreements. Key announcements included CDSCO’s new regulatory framework for biologics, the BIRAC Research Development and Innovation Fund to bridge funding gaps, and a reported 18 % annual growth in India’s bio‑economy.
