Union Minister of Textiles Inaugurates Bharat Tex 2026; India's Largest Global Textile Event Opens with Record International Participation

Union Minister of Textiles Shri Giriraj Singh inaugurated Bharat Tex 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, marking the launch of what the release calls the world’s largest integrated textile‑value‑chain event. The exhibition hosted over 6,000 buyers from more than 130 countries, 1.3 lakh trade visitors and showcased 20,000 textile products across 1.6 million sq ft. It featured participation from eight Sponsor States and nine other States/UTs, over 350 speakers, and a dedicated International Pavilion. A Letter of Intent was signed between the Bharat Tex Trade Federation and Première Vision Paris to deepen India‑Europe collaboration, and the event will facilitate thousands of B2B/B2G meetings, MoUs and knowledge sessions on trade, investment, sustainability and Industry 5.0.
