Raksha Rajya Mantri reviews functioning of Canteen Services Department at 80th BOCCS meeting in Ranchi

The Raksha Rajya Mantri, Shri Sanjay Seth, reviewed the Canteen Services Department (CSD) at the 80th Board of Control Canteen Services meeting in Ranchi on 14 July 2026. The meeting addressed budgetary support, depot modernisation, subsidies for electric two‑wheelers bought through CSD, and the induction of products from cooperative bodies such as the Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation of India, KVIC, NACM, and National Cooperative Organics. The minister highlighted the ongoing transformation of CSD as part of the ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’, ‘Sehkar se Samriddhi’ and ‘Vocal for Local’ initiatives, and visited the Ramgarh depot – one of five pilot depots slated for modernisation. The agenda also included provision of assistive devices for divyangjans of the defence forces and ex‑servicemen.
