India Post Records Highest -Ever First Quarter Revenue of Over ₹4,000 Crores, Registering 22% Year-on-Year Growth: Union Minister of Communications Shri Jyotiraditya M. Scindia
India Post posted its highest‑ever first‑quarter revenue of ₹4,009 crore in Q1 FY 2026‑27, achieving 81 % of the quarterly target and registering a 22 % year‑on‑year increase over Q1 FY 2025‑26. Citizen‑Centric Services grew 86 %, followed by Parcels (50 %), Mails (42 %), International Relations & Global Business (34 %), PLI/RPLI (20 %) and POSB (10 %). The Expenditure Coverage Ratio improved to 32 % (including pension) and 47 % (excluding pension). Zero‑transaction Branch Post Offices fell sharply – over 92 % in POSB, 97 % in PLI/RPLI and 99 % in Speed Post & Parcel – indicating better field‑level business mobilisation. The Union Minister highlighted the need for focused interventions in Parcel, Mail and IR&GB verticals for the remaining quarters.
