TRAI Assesses Mobile Network Quality on Munabao to Tanot National Highway (NH-70) in Rajasthan LSA

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) released results of an Independent Drive Test (IDT) carried out on 3 June 2026 over the 311.4 km Munabao‑to‑Tanot National Highway (NH‑70) in Rajasthan LSA. Using SIMs of all Telecom Service Providers (TSPs) across 2G‑5G, the test measured coverage gaps, dropped calls, call‑silence instances and data throughput. Coverage gaps (samples with signal < ‑110 dBm for 5G/4G) were highest for VIL (9,227/11,286) and Airtel (5,728/14,130). Dropped‑call ratios were 10/48 for Airtel, 2/6 for BSNL, 3/76 for RJIL and 1/8 for VIL. Average download speeds ranged from 0.35 Mbps (VIL) to 55.05 Mbps (RJIL), while upload speeds varied between 0.75 Mbps (VIL) and 14.03 Mbps (Airtel). The findings have been shared with the TSPs for corrective action and are available on the TRAI website.
