Shri Bhupendra Yadav chairs the 7th Meeting of Governing Body of National CAMPA and reviews Overall Performance of the Authority, at Coimbatore

The 7th Governing Body meeting of the National Compensatory Afforestation Management and Planning Authority (CAMPA) was chaired by Union Environment Minister Shri Bhupendra Yadav at Coimbatore. The body examined the performance of CAMPA, including NPV and compensatory afforestation activities, CAMPA fund flows for 2025‑26, and the CAG‑certified accounts for FY 2024‑25. It highlighted digital governance steps such as the Digital Annual Plan of Operations for FY 2026‑27, five zonal capacity‑building workshops, a new Geospatial Monitoring & Evaluation System, and the Harit‑SANKALP portal for seed traceability. Funding updates were given for MISHTI (Rs 88.40 crore released, Rs 500 crore additional outlay) and Nagar Van Yojana (Rs 571.50 crore released). The meeting also approved new wildlife‑conservation projects for river dolphins, snow leopards, Indian rhinoceros, wild water buffalo, and Manipur’s sangai.
