Insurance Division, DFS Secures 2nd Rank in Group A Category Grievance Redressal Assessment & Index (GRAI) for May 2026

The Department of Financial Services (DFS) received over 2.50 lakh grievances annually and has been among the top‑10 ministries/departments in the Grievance Redressal Assessment & Index (GRAI) since November 2025. In May 2026, the Insurance Division secured the 2nd position in the Group A category (≥500 grievances) while the Banking Division ranked 6th. Since 7 January 2024, the DFS Secretary has personally reviewed 20 randomly selected grievances with complainants and senior officials. DFS also conducted workshops with RBI, IRDAI, PFRDA and public sector banks on an ‘Effective Grievance Redressal Framework’ to enhance transparency and public trust.
