Prime Minister addresses Australia-India CEOs Forum and Economic Roadmap Business event

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese jointly addressed the Australia‑India CEOs Forum and the Economic Roadmap Business event in Melbourne on 9 July 2026. Modi highlighted India’s strong growth, policy reforms and digital transformation, citing opportunities for Australian partners in sectors such as manufacturing, clean energy, critical minerals, infrastructure, aviation, AI, fintech and the digital economy. He urged Australian investors to pursue long‑term investments, called for early conclusion of the proposed Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreement (CECA), and emphasized the role of state‑level partnerships and shared democratic values in deepening Indo‑Australian economic ties.
