Shri Jitin Prasada, Minister of State for Commerce and Industry and Electronics & Information Technology, concluded an official visit to Morocco and co-chaired the 7th India–Morocco Joint Commission meeting alongside H.E. Mr. Omar Hejira. Both nations agreed to double bilateral trade over the next five years, aiming to build on a trade volume that reached around USD 4 billion in 2025. They agreed to establish a Joint Working Group to explore a preferential trade agreement and address tariff and non-tariff barriers. The Ancient Buddhist Site of Sarnath in Uttar Pradesh has been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List at the 48th Session of the World Heritage Committee in Busan, South Korea.
